Like many of you, I was saddened by the recent passing of Dave Jolicoeur aka Trugoy the Dove from De La Soul. Tragically, the passing of Dave made me realise the legacy of the group's work and contributions to hip hop. It also came merely days after I finished the last of the main mixes on this project.

I recorded the remixes for Stakes is High and All Good in January 2019 before completing the remaining mixes in the early Summer of 2022/23. The music took on a whole extra layer I never expected after Dave's departure.

I hope that this homage brings fans comfort in being able to hear the magic trio together, one more time, reimagining their classic works and celebrating their unique musical chemistry.

Every Saturday, I'll be releasing two remixes for free until the full mixtape is released in April 2023.
